Kristy Babb released a rock during the Aylmer Businesswomen’s Bonspiel at Aylmer Curling Club on Saturday, Jan. 16. The bonspiel involved six teams. Ms. Babb’s rink, which also included Kerry Kerr, Bernita Jordan and Amy Wilson, won the event.

East Elgin Secondary School Junior football players hoisted the trophy after winning the Thames Valley Regional Central consolation championship with a 43-20 victory over Clarke Road Secondary School at TD Waterhouse Stadium, Western University, on Thursday, Nov. 26. Clarke Road led 14-0 at one point in the first quarter, but EESS rallied to take the trophy.
