Two wins and a loss at tournament

Devon Catt of East Elgin Secondary School recovered the ball rushed the London Montcalm net during the final of a Senior boys basketball tournament at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in St. Thomas, Saturday night. EESS defeated London Laurier 45-41 and host St. Joe’s 42-29 before losing 71-51 to Montcalm in the championship game.

EESS holding dance recitals

Lorena Gisbrecht performed hip hop to “Likea Cholo” by Down during a rehearsal Monday, Jan. 13, for recitals for the dance program at East Elgin Secondary School, Wednesday, Jan. 15, and Thursday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. She’s one of 40 students in the recitals. Tickets available at the door are $5 a person.
