Dr. Peter Tovstiga

Dr. Peter Tovstiga passed on to his eternal reward on the afternoon of April 2, 2026, at the age of 70 years.  He was born on August 22, 1955, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Waldemar and Adina, née Lutzer, Tovstiga.  His radiant love and generosity were legendary even while he was living.  He loved God fervently and touched a myriad of people with Christ-like compassion.  Dr. Tovstiga served as a doctor of chiropractic for 44 years.  Thousands were touched by his skillful and personable care.  Alongside his practice, Dr. Tovstiga founded and managed EverSeal Canada, Inc.—a specialty coatings company.  From a young child, he demonstrated a rare artistic gift by way of drawing and painting.  He was also a true naturalist and delighted in taking regular trips to the wilderness of northern Ontario.  He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Elvira “Elfie” Tovstiga; his sons Andrew of Eden, Ontario; Benjamin and wife Elizabeth of Ohio, USA; Markus and wife Elisabeth of Oklahoma, USA; Thomas and wife Sarah of Ohio, USA; Jeremy and wife Cynthia of Ohio, USA, as well as 14 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by two brothers, Siegfried and George, as well as multiple uncles and aunts, cousins, and other relatives.  Also mourning the death of “Brother Peter” (as he was called by them) is a large number of brothers and sisters in Christ who testify to being indelibly impacted by his life, not to mention the many friends, patients, and community members who will miss his presence.
