Bayham man charged with counsel to commit murder

A 40-year-old Bayham man was arrested on Tuesday, April 15 and charged with counsel to commit murder.

Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police Constable Ed Sanchuk said the investigation by officers including a detective inspector with the Criminal Investigation Branch began on April 2 after police received a complaint.

The man appeared in a Simcoe court for a bail hearing on Wednesday, April 16.

Other than confirming no one was injured and there was no threat to public safety, Const. Sanchuk said no further details would be released as the investigation was ongoing and the matter was before the courts.
