Port Burwell Santa Claus Parade back on

A Vienna businessman took it upon himself to make sure this year’s Port Burwell Santa Claus Parade would proceed as usual.

Bayham’s Family Table restaurant owner Randy Breyer said he read about the Saturday, Dec. 6 parade being cancelled due to the folding of the Otter Valley-Port Burwell Optimist Club in the Oct. 22 edition of the Aylmer Express.

He then contacted members of the Lions and Lioness clubs in Vienna and reached out to others in the Bayham community and received assurances that the parade would be held in 2014 like it has for the past many years.
