Filling Christmas boxes

Chartwell Aylmer residents Dorothy Jacques, left, and Gail Starr, right, and Immanuel Christian School pupil Eden Shelton filled shoeboxes for “Operation Christmas Child,” which sends toys, socks, toiletries and school supplies to needy children around the world. A Grade 1-2 class from the school and seniors at the long-term care home have been collaborating on such projects this year. The residents also mentor the youngsters in reading, math and other skills.
