Complex business plan delayed again

It will be 2015 before any decisions are made on a long-awaited business plan for East Elgin Community Complex.

Newly elected Mayor Greg Currie was supported by most councillors to put off decisions to hold a joint meeting with Malahide councillors and to award a contract to a qualified consultant to prepare a business plan.

He wanted to be fully informed about the background of the issues that led to the release of the request for proposals for a business plan for the Complex. Monday night was the first business meeting of the new council term.

After some discussion, Aylmer Administrator Jennifer Reynaert said she would prepare an information package with all of the staff reports to council and Complex committees relating to the Complex and the business plan in advance of the next council meeting scheduled for Monday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m.
