Wet, cool conditions for Extreme Elgin

The “black shirtExtreme Elgin squad” competitors helped each other get up onto the dock from Springwater Pond after the swim portion of the Extreme Elgin 10-kilometre course at Springwater Conservation Area on Saturday morning, June 27. The black shirted group of participants were to race through the course multiple times and were the first to face the challenge that included walls to climb, mud pits and various other obstacles to test their endurance and agility. Two other sets of competitors followed on what turned out to be a rainy and cool day. The annual event raises money for the Elgin-St. Thomas Community Foundation.
