Squirt Brewers escape bases loaded first inning

Springfield Brewers SquBrewers U12 boysirt boys (under-12) catcher Ty Cadotte managed to catch a difficult low pitch from teammate Bryce Webber during their fastball game at Malahide Community Place on Wednesday evening, July 15. By keeping the ball in front of him for the most part during the top half of the first inning, Cadotte helped keep the visiting Plattsville team from taking advantage of loading the bases. Springfield eventually lost the game 17-2. Matt Peters hit a line drive down the first base line to help the Brewers score their two runs and some good hits also came from Webber, Lucas Braun, Cam Ashford and Cadotte. The Brewer Squirt boys have a record of five wins and 10 losses with five games left in their regular season. The season-ending playoff tournament will be played in Norwich Aug. 1-2.
