Wise Line Metal Sales moving to Tillsonburg

Wise Line Metal Sales will move from their current Malahide location to Tillsonburg in early 2017 after giving up on trying to rezone and expand their current property.

Co-owner David Wieler confirmed his company, located west of Luton, had purchased seven acres in Tillsonburg’s Van Norman Industrial Park, which is near the border with Bayham.

The company will expand from its current 10,000 square foot facility in Malahide, where it had operated for about 13 years, to a 30,000 square foot building.

On the possibility of building in Aylmer: “We fished around to see what it would be like and decided against it,” he said. “One thing was the taxes which are a lot higher. Aylmer isn’t the town to build in. I don’t think the town (Aylmer) wants to do business. Otherwise they would be more upbeat in dealing with businesses.”

“They (Tillsonburg officials) are very ready to accommodate people,” he continued. “They are just really willing to help out any way they can. We got a lot for a reasonable price and fully serviced. They really welcomed us and seemed excited to have us.”
