Banger Race entry getting prettied up

Shalem Hernandez, left, Austin Cook, Jordan Steele, Gregory Killough, Joshua Hernandez, Mackenzie Steele, Ilse Kloosterman, Mark Kloosterman and Justin Kloosterman of Springfield library’s Summer Reading Club started painting an old Buick donated by Elgin Auto of Aylmer on Monday, August 8. They’re helping prepare it for a “Garage Challenge Banger Race” at Aylmer Fair Friday night, Aug. 12. Painting for SRC members will continue this Tuesday and Thursday during library hours.
