Kenneth Clifford Hiepleh

HIEPLEH, Kenneth Clifford of St. Thomas, and formerly of R.R. 8 St. Thomas, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, June 16th, 2020, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, at the age of 87. Dearly loved husband of 65 years of Dorothy (Lang) Hiepleh and loved father of Michael Hiepleh (Patty), Sharon Lyle (Sandy) and Mark Hiepleh (late Lynne). Cherished grandfather of Megan (Alex Tromp) and Kevin Hiepleh (fiancé Rebecca Johnson), Greg and Andrea Lyle and Ryan Hiepleh (Brianna) and Sarah Hiepleh and great grandfather of Harrison Hiepleh. Predeceased by a sister Marilyn (Campbell) Stover. Dear brother-in-law of Margaret Lang and Geraldine Smith. Ken was born in Aylmer on January 31, 1933, the son of the late Clifford and Maude (Shively) Hiepleh. He was a dairy farmer through and through. And he loved to talk about his farming days on Edgeware Road. Ken was a member of Holstein Canada, a member of the Elgin County Holstein Club, and a two time recipient of the Holstein Canada’s highest honour, “The Master Breeders Shield”, under “Edgeleh Holstein”. Ken was a member of Yarmouth Centre United Church. A private family service will be held. Interment of ashes in Aylmer Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation or to Talbotville United Church if desired. A very special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of 5th floor and 2nd floor of the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.
