No set date for Complex study completion

An operational review of East Elgin Community Complex that started in mid-September and was expected to be done by Christmas still hasn’t arrived, and no one here knows when it will.

Aylmer Mayor Jack Couckuyt said the process has turned out to be “certainly longer than I would have hoped for.”

The consultant chosen for the job had been the higher bidder, but got the nod because it was seen to have more experience and more knowledge of the subject matter. But it’s reportedly still gathering information from other comparable facilities in the area.
