Winter Olympics at McGregor

Senior Kindergarten pupil Riley Knelsen pulled herself along the top of a bench during one of the events of the Winter Olympics held at McGregor Public School in Aylmer on Thursday, March 6. Seen in behind Riley waiting their turns were Lily Kueppers, left, Carly Penner, Lucas Wall and Carter Klassen. Most of the teachers had talked about the recent Sochi Winter Olympics with their classes and wanted them to have a hands-on experience. The events were planned to resemble the real Olympics in some way, the one pictured modeled on the slope style or snowboarding courses. The Kindergarten Winter Olympics at McGregor was postponed from the week before due to the cold temperatures.
