0.64 percent levy hike approved for Aylmer

Aylmer councillors approved a 0.64 percent levy increase for 2014 after a public meeting was held within East Elgin Community Complex’s Imperial Hall on Tuesday, April 22.

Most of the comments made by local residents attending the meeting were about moving the town’s library from the downtown to hall space at the Complex.

Another public meeting was planned to take place on Thursday, April 24 starting at 7 p.m. at the Complex for Aylmer and Malahide residents to have their say about the operational review and recommendations to find efficiencies at the twin-ice pad facility and community centre.
