VQA for Quai du Vin

Quai du Vin Estate Winery of Sparta has received VQA appellation and, as a result, will be able to sell its products at nine farm markets this summer under a new provincial program.

The province, in an effort to boost sales of Ontario wines, will for the first time permit wineries to sell at those markets.

For many smaller wineries, it will be their only opportunity to sell anywhere but on their own property. But the program comes with a catch. Only Vintners Quality Alliance wines can be sold at the markets.
