McGregor celebrates Walk to School Day

Teri Stafford chaperoned her daughter Scarlet to Junior Kindergarten class at McGregor Public School in Aylmer on Wednesday morning, Oct. 8 for International Walk to School Day. Davenport Public School also celebrated Walk to School Day that is held each October to raise awareness about the benefits of walking or using other forms of active transportation to get to school. Pupils at all Aylmer schools were encouraged to walk or wheel to school each Wednesday in October. On Wednesday, Oct. 29, a pep rally will be held at East Elgin Secondary School starting at 2:15 p.m. after pupils from McGregor and Immanuel Christian School, and hopefully all other Aylmer schools, walk there. Pupils will walk laps around the EESS track together with a group photo to follow, some dancing to music and draw prizes.
