Perfect season for EESS Sr. basketball team

Amanda Milmine of host East Elgin Secondary School broke through two Parkside Collegiate Institute defenders as she scrambled away from the net during the final game of the regular season for both teams on Thursday, Oct. 30. EESS held a comfortable lead, but then Parkside came thundering back, narrowing the margin to just two points in East Elgin’s favour. But in the end, EESS hung on for a 35-32 win and a perfect season of nine wins and no losses. It’s the only undefeated Senior team in Thames Valley Southeast going into playoffs.
