Summers Corners runs for cancer research
Summers Corners Public School pupils participated in the annual Terry Fox Run and Walk on Tuesday, Sept. 30. The runners and walkers included, from left, Landon Underhill, Izabel Thiessen, Lisa Miller, Robert Miller, Leedell Springer, Ambria Heynen, Alexa Loewen, Mickayla Firby and Ryder Jensen. The children and school staff hoped to raise $800 or more for the Terry Fox Foundation, a charity that invests in cancer research. Events leading up to the Run and Walk included pies to the faces of teachers and duct taping a teacher to a wall. The Grade 8 pupils took the lead with this year’s Terry Fox Run and Walk campaign.
