House fire investigation launched

The Ontario Fire Marshall’s office was investigating two fires that had occurred to a home at 312 John Street South in less than a week. The first fire occurred on Friday, Nov. 7 and the second fire sometime overnight Wednesday, Nov. 12. The Aylmer Police had posted a guard at the scene on Thursday, Nov. 13 (when this photo was taken) as the fire was still under investigation with no obvious cause known at the time. “The continuity of the scene must be maintained for integrity of the investigation,” Aylmer Fire Chief Sam Taylor said. The Fire Marshall’s office was expected to finish their investigation on Friday morning, Nov. 14.
