Low German culture celebrated

Mennonite Central Committee Chatham office settlement outreach worker Henry Friesen led a workshop on Low German “Culture and Ways” during the 18th annual MCC Networking Conference held at Bradley Street Church of God in Aylmer on Thursday, May 7. About 220 attended the several hour long conference that featured several guest speakers and panelists. This year’s theme was “Deepening our understanding of Low German culture.” The event included lunch and a bookstore. Attendees came from all throughout southern Ontario with one from as far as Winnipeg.
