Spring hockey tourney takes over Complex

Kaitlyn Dance, front (in red sweater), and Shelby Laindlaw of Aylmer were teammates on the Power Edge Pro hockey team that competed in the Draft Day Hockey “London Rising Stars” youth tournament at East Elgin Community Complex on Saturday morning, May 30. The tournament, which also had games played on Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30 at various arena complexes in London, provided traditional three period hockey games and referees were instructed to call the games according to the official rules rather then ignore icings or penalties to save time. Teams from AAA and AA/A organizations competed in age groups ranging from born in 2001 to 2008.
