Bayham man charged in rollover east of Aylmer
A Bayham man, 50, was arrested and charged with impaired driving and other offences after the vehicle he was travelling in rolled over on Heritage Line just south of Highway 3 (Talbot Line) just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police Constable Troy Carlson said the man was travelling east on Hwy. 3 and was in the process of merging onto Heritage Line when his grey 2000 Pontiac Grand Am made contact with the north curb causing the car to roll over a snow bank and into the south ditch landing on its roof.
The man, the sole occupant of the car, was wearing his seatbelt at the time and was not injured.
He was also charged with possession of marijuana, disqualified driving and refusal to provide breath samples.
