Attempted abduction in St. Thomas
St. Thomas Police have asked for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who allegedly tried to abduct two 8-year-old girls at about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 on Owaissa Street.
The girls were approached by a man in an older model, full-size red pick-up truck.
The man asked the girls if they wanted to go for a ride and when they refused he exited his vehicle and attempted to pull them inside.
The girls ran from the man to a nearby residence and contacted the police.
The man then left the area in his truck.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 40’s, approximately five feet 10 inches tall with black curly and bushy hair and a beard.
He was wearing a black three quarter length coat at the time.
St. Thomas Police ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or with information about the suspect or his vehicle to contact them.
