Robert Burwell

Robert Wilson Burwell passed away peacefully in Chatham, Ontario on January 24, 2024. Bob was born in 1940 to Lewis and Minnie Burwell and was raised on a tobacco farm alongside his brothers Tom, John and sister Joan.
He married his sweetheart Therese with whom he recently celebrated their 65 th anniversary. They had three children, Randy, Candy and Chad as well as four grandchildren.
Bob held many titles in his life, from tobacco farmer to sales manager to cureman, but his favourite was a loving husband with the focus being on his family. He loved nothing more than spending time with his wife, Therese, his adult children, Candy and Chad, daughter in-law, Tracy, and especially his grandchildren, Nevada and Luke.
He was our number one fan, always there offering love, support and encouragement. He had the ability to make us smile and laugh when we thought that we couldn’t.
Outside of being a terrific husband and father, Bob had two more titles that he shared with many
friends, mediocre poker player and legendary storyteller!
Both titles, he would confirm with a grin.
“You may have left our lives, but you will never leave our hearts.”
To observe Bob’s wishes there will not be a funeral or service. Arrangements entrusted to Life Transitions Burial and Cremation Service Inc.
