EESS Junior girls lose Southwest final 35-30

Maya Allen of host East Elgin Secondary School had her shot blocked by a Woodstock Huron Park defender during the Thames Valley Regional Junior girls final on Tuesday, Nov. 11. EESS lost the game 35-30, with countless shots going anywhere but into the Huron Park net. The East Elgin Juniors will have a chance to redeem themselves as they host the WOSSSAA AAAA tournament on Friday, Nov. 14. They’ll play in a preliminary against a London team at 9 a.m., then in either the bronze medal game at 3 p.m. or the gold medal match at 4:30 p.m.
