Amish community safety study nixed

Malahide councillors decided Thursday, Nov. 20, that $9,650 is too much to pay to have a traffic safety engineer examine ways to improve road safety in the local Amish community.

Instead, they’re calling for a joint committee to meet and discuss the subject instead, with representatives from council, township officials, the Amish community and Ontario Provincial Police.
