Trees down, car, house crushed
A severe windstorm sweeping through East Elgin on Monday afternoon, Nov. 24, sent trees and limbs onto a car and the front of a house on South Street West, crushing both
The driver of the car was taken to St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital by ambulance.
No one was seemingly hurt nearby in the house on the northwest corner of South and John , but the front porch was destroyed and at least one hole punched through the roof.
An Aylmer Express reporter was passing by a tree on Pine Street just east of John Street when it toppled, smashing the front window of a home.
