Michael Schatte Band bring rocking blues to Aylmer

Toronto-based guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Michael Schatte brought his three-piece (bass and drums) band to Aylmer Old Town Hall Theatre on Saturday evening, Nov. 12 to perform the latest concert in the Aylmer Performing Arts Council’s 2016-17 season. Mr. Schatte is originally from Chatham and performs a eclectic mixture of rock, blues, rockabilly, bluegrass and Celtic music. The Michael Schatte Band last played at Aylmer Old Town Hall Theatre on May 29, 2015 when he celebrated the official release of his last record, Turn Back the Vikings. It was Mr. Schatte’s first time performing in Aylmer. He took the advice of his bassist, Randy Cassidy of St. Thomas, who highly recommended Aylmer Old Town Hall Theatre as a great concert venue.
