Sounds of the season at EESS

East Elgin Secondary School student musicians Maryann Enns, left, Jason Dyck and Ethan Reid played a selection of songs as members of the Guitar Ensemble during their Aylmer school’s annual Christmas Concert on Tuesday evening, Dec. 6. The Concert Band played a second set of music after the guitarists finished their performance. Music teacher Trevor Hiepleh explained both groups are part of a “repertoire course” that exists outside of the regular school day with all of their rehearsals (classes) and assessments (performances) held outside of regular classroom time. The two EESS musical groups were to perform at elementary schools in Aylmer and Straffordville later that week.
