Frank Chilcott

March 29, 1938 – Dec. 13, 2025

It is with great sadness that we, the family of Franklin ‘Frank’ Ernest Chilcott, wish to announce his peaceful passing, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, at the age of 87. Frank was born to Walter Chilcott Sr. and Gladys (Cowan) Chilcott, in Bayham Township, Ontario. Frank was a life-resident of Corinth, until his recent move to Maple Manor Long Term Care, Tillsonburg. Over his working years, Frank worked in variety of trucking roles; picking up/delivering milk containers and tobacco, driving heavy duty trucks for Fuzz Langohr. He then farmed for 20 years, alongside his brother Ben. Frank was also quite a handyman. He will forever be remembered as a loving father and dedicated grandfather. Predeceased by the love of his life, Dorothy Catheleene (Smith) Chilcott (April 7, 2019). Lovingly remembered by his children and their families: Daphne Dickhout (Joseph), of Aylmer; Louise Prouse (Bill Ross), of Ingersoll; Walter Chilcott (Chyrl), of Corinth; Charles Chilcott (Tanya), of Thunder Bay; Melissa Royles (Ed Norman), of Ingersoll. Also survived by eight grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Caring brother and brother-in-law to: Isabelle Chilcott (late Gordon, 2021); Rosella Wilkins (late Ken); Brenda Chilcott (late Jim); Eleanor West (late George); Elaine Lossing (late Harry); Sandra McCarthy (late Joe); Donna Chilcott (late Bill); Ben Chilcott (late Betty, 2023); Bob Chilcott (Wendy); sister-in-law Birdie Sawdon (late Arthur, 2024); Phyllis Smith (late Cecil); Clifford Smith (Marlene); late Betty and Leo Smith; late Joanne and David Smith.

In keeping with Frank’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. Everyone who knew Frank is invited to attend public visitation on Monday, December 22, 2025, between 12:00 and 1:15 p.m. at Community of Christ, 54246 Eden Line, Corinth. A Memorial Service follows on Monday at 1:30 p.m. by Doris VanDenEeckhout LWL. Later interment will follow in Tillsonburg Cemetery, in the Spring of 2026.
