George F. Robinson
George F. Robinson of Brownsville, Ontario, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2026, following complications due to Alzheimer’s disease. George is survived by his wife Gloria Jean Robinson (Connor) of Springfield, Ontario, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. He is also survived by his son Greg Robinson and daughter-in-law Bernadette, and by his cherished granddaughter Amelia and her husband Sean.
George was born in Courtland, Ontario, to Russell Robinson and Gladys Robinson (Viet), both predeceased. He is survived by his sisters Evelyn Ferguson (the late Max Ferguson) of Springfield, Ontario; Muriel McGibbon (the late David McGibbon) of Guelph, Ontario; Joan Gregson and Robert Gregson of Straffordville, Ontario; and Ella Mae Graydon and David Graydon of Cambridge, Ontario. George was deeply loved by sisters and is greatly missed.
As the owner of George Robinson Electric, he was known for his integrity and strong work ethic. He was always willing to help in an emergency, even in the middle of the night, which earned him the respect of his neighbours and the farming community.
As a man of steadfast faith, George dedicated much of his life to serving in his local churches, including North Broadway Baptist Church (Tillsonburg), Springfield Baptist Church (Springfield), and Truth Community Church (Thamesford). He believed in supporting missions and never missed an opportunity to share his faith with others.
George found great joy in farming, boating, and woodworking. He is and will forever be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial come-and-go open house will be hosted at the farm on January 3, 2026 from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. for those who wish to pay their respects to Gloria Jean and the rest of the family. Cremation has already taken place and George will be laid to rest at the family farm, a place he loved more than any other in this world.
