Sarah Ferguson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sarah Ferguson of Aylmer/St. Thomas, Ontario. She passed peacefully at Parkwood Hospital surrounded by family on February 8, 2023 at the age of 34. Dearly loved daughter of Audrey and step-dad James Farmer; father Mike and step-mom Karen Destun. She will be greatly missed by siblings Theo and Zach, grandparents Don and Phyllis Burke, uncles Philip and Mark Burke, Dwight Pemberton, and cousins Grace, Chase and Sophia. Predeceased by sisters Lyla and Lauren.
Sarah was a very caring, loving, outgoing person with a love of sports and artwork. She will be missed immensely by so many people who touched her life and her special cat Keira.
Sarah was an award-winning artist. She attended Arthur Voaden Secondary School, Kings College and Western University. She worked in the intake office at Western University.
Sarah enjoyed volunteering at Support Services (Life Spin), Middlesex Victim Services and as a Crisis Intervention respondent.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 1 – 5 p.m. at the Columbus Club, 265 Wellington St., St. Thomas.
The family will be creating a special memorial park bench in Sarah’s memory. Any donations towards this would be appreciated.
