Davenport pupils to receive literary awards

Two Davenport Public School Grade 7 pupils will receive Lawson Literary Awards at a ceremony in London in June.

Grace Gillet of Belmont and Aylmer’s Emma Kebbel were among 21 Grade 7 and 8 pupils named to receive the honour from throughout the Thames Valley District School Board system.

Ms. Gillet wrote about why Canadians should be proud of Ottawa, the nation’s capital, and Ms. Kebbel studied child obesity in her essay.
