Anne of Green Gables to open at EESS
Abigail Reid as Anne Shirley, left, and Cassy Dyck as Diana Barry rehearsed a scene from Anne of Green Gables at East Elgin Secondary School, Sunday, May 4. Their characters were just home from a Christmas ball, and they were reliving the night. This non-musical version of the classic Prince Edward Island story involves about 45 students in the cast and crew. Matinees will be held this Wednesday, May 7, through Friday, May 9, at 12:30 p.m., and Wednesday through Saturday evenings starting at 7 p.m. The matinees are open to local schoolchildren as well as the public, for those who prefer an earlier performance. Tickets cost $5 for matinees and $8 in the evening.
