Elgin OPP looking for “suspicious” man

The Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police requested assistance from the public on Monday, May 5 to find a “suspicious” man who was encountered by a Port Stanley resident on Tuesday, April 29 at about 2:45 p.m.

On that day and time a man approached a residence on the outskirts of Port Stanley “in a suspicious manner,” Elgin OPP Constable Troy Carlson said.

The man talked with an occupant of the house before being asked to leave the property.

The man was described as being in his 30s, about five feet eight inches to five feet 10 inches in height with a smaller build, tanned skin and “a clear complexion.”

He was further described as having blue eyes, small, yellowed front teeth, having a long face with thin lips and little to no hair on his head.

He was wearing steel-toed work boots with black tips, blue jeans, a blue nylon jacket and a grey ball cap with writing on the front.

The man left the area in a four door sport utility vehicle, aqua blue in colour with small yellow pin stripes on the side.
