Belmont Santa Claus Parade attracts big crowd

Chantalle Narciso handed out candy to children, here to Owen Corless-Pressey, 5, of Aylmer, along the route of the Belmont Santa Claus Parade on Sunday evening, Dec. 4. The annual event attracted a big crowd of local residents and visitors. Ms. Narciso was one of the crew with the Christmas Without Cole float which collected unwrapped toys for children and teens who will be spending the holidays at London Children’s Hospital and Rotholme Women’s and Family Shelter. The Christmas toy drive, in its seventh year, is held in memory of Cole Robitaille who lost his battle with cancer in February 2010. Donated gifts for Christmas Without Cole can also be dropped off at Cable’s Garage in Belmont until Dec. 15.
