Lucretia Gingell
Lucretia Gingell “Benny”
Lucretia “Benny” Gingell passed away on July 27, 2021 at her son’s home in Colorado due to natural causes at the age of 99. She relocated to Washington DC from Canada, on D-day, June 6, 1944 to work for the British Army Staff. Later she worked for the Indian Embassy, then Riggs Bank in Rockville and finally for Betts, Clogg and Murdock attorneys for the next 40 years. Predeceased by sisters Agnes Minor(Cyril) and Marion Ruth Thompson and brother Ed Thompson(Betty). Born in Aylmer on January 29, 1921, second child of the late Charles Boyd and Marjorie Louise(Dunlop) Thompson. She is survived by her son Tommy and grandchildren Jeremy, April, Joanna, Joelle and eight great-grandchildren. Benny valued her neighborhood and her house; she loved her garden, particularly her azaleas. We’re happy to say that she graduated to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus. She wanted to be cremated as soon as she passed. No services are planned.
