Angie Weninger
Angela “Angie” Yvonne (Eechaute) Weninger passed away peacefully in her 86th year on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 in St. Thomas, Ontario. Born on September 27th, 1940 in Eden, Ontario to Maurice Eechaute and Gladys (Jones) Eechaute. Angie dedicated years to working Tobacco, Sweet Potatoes, and at the Saxonia Hall. A farmer at heart, Angie always found ways to keep herself busy. She was always eager to lend a helping hand to the community around her, feeding farm workers, raising the local wildlife: including a fawn, hummingbirds, and farm animals. Angie was the type of person who never left a task unfinished. Most recently she loved the challenge of a new puzzle, kept herself sharp with her wordsearches, never left a page uncoloured, and always aimed to beat her record on the seated elliptical. In the past she cultivated the most bountiful gardens, completed family quilting projects, and thrived in any environment where she could be cooking, baking or canning. She had a gift for starting up a conversation, and brightening every room she walked into with her beautiful smile and contagious laugh. Angie will be remembered for her love of stories, for her witty sense of humour, her silly-antics at card games (especially UNO), and her immense kindness. Most importantly, she will be remembered for the extraordinary love she held for her family.
Predeceased by her much loved husband, John Weninger, and her siblings Richard Eechaute, Carl Eechaute, Elaine (Eechaute) Cseszneki (Jim), and Gloria (Eechaute) Wybo (Albert), and her sister-in-law Valerie (Morden) Eechaute (Julien). Beloved mother of Marlene (Bacak) Ouellette of Niagara-on-the-Lake, John Weninger (Andrea) of Aylmer and Joe Weninger (Heidi) of Aylmer. Loving grandmother of Karlene, Kaitlyn (Kyle), Jessica, Jonathan, Antonio, Simon and Emily, and great-grandmother to Everett. She is also survived by her siblings Julien Eechaute (Eileen), Linda Harvey (Ralph), Ginny Wybo (Roger), and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 5-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
