Bob Charlton

Charlton, Robert Glenn “Bob” of Aylmer and formerly of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Jessie(Shively) Charlton. Dear father of Julie Cassidy(Joe) of St. Thomas and Chris Charlton(Tracy) of Sarnia. Loving grandfather of Jessica, Daniel(Amanda), Luke(Jamie) and cherished great-grandfather of Cassidy and Regan. He will be missed by his sister Kathryn Rickwood and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Ron, Rod and Royce. Born in London, Ontario on January 1, 1932, son of the late Glen and Alice(Welch) Charlton. Bob was a manager at Timken in St. Thomas from 1950-1992.  He had a keen eye for detail and a passion for cars. Bob was an avid walker. In his later years, he researched genealogy. He was a lifelong learner and was a wealth of knowledge. The funeral service will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment, Springfield Cemetery.
