Dorothy Beattie

BEATTIE, Dorothy Ida of Aylmer passed away at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Monday, November 13, 2023 in her 89th year. Dear mother of Larry Beattie (Tracy) of Tillsonburg, Doug Beattie (Janet) of Tillsonburg, Ann Newell (Bill) of Roseneath, Deborah Cluett (Larry) of Tillsonburg, Karen Cluett (Brian) of Tillsonburg and Rick Beattie (Sherry) of Wooler. Loving partner of Ron Ward and wife of the late Ron Beattie (2005). Also survived by 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an infant daughter Fay Beattie, a brother Scott and sisters Margaret, Vivian and Reta. Born in Bury, Quebec on March 25, 1935, daughter of the late Ivan and Bertha (Coates) Thompson. Dorothy was a member of the U.C.W. at Corinth United Church and was a 4-H leader. Visitation was held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral service was held at the funeral home on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
