Elvinda Howe

Howe, Elvinda of Extendicare, Port Stanley passed away at her residence peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, July 10, 2023 in her 78th year.

Beloved wife of the late Bruce Howe(2001). Dear mother of Brent Howe(Angela) of Aylmer and Shelley Phoenix(Barclay) of Greenbank. Loving grandmother of Nicole, Keaton, Jaelynn, Janelle. Dear sister of Bill Nelson and and Jean Conley. Sister-in-law of Keith Howe(Anne) and Glen Howe(Monica). Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased a brother Fred Nelson,  sisters Doris Bowen and Violet Brooks.  Born in Aylmer Ontario on November 26, 1945 daughter of the late Harold and Ila May (Firby) Nelson. Elvinda was a teacher, renowned “Patch Boss” at “Howe Strawberries,” a stay at home mother, a member of the Aylmer Baptist Church and the Aylmer Lioness. She had a love for riding horses, music, dancing, friends and family. Visitation Wednesday, July 12 2023 from 6-8 p.m.The funeral service will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 11:00 am. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. “Our family is grateful to the staff at Extendicare where Elvinda was cared for with love for the past 8 years.”
