Ena “Lucille” Wells
WELLS – Ena “Lucille”, peacefully at Dearness Home in London, on Saturday, March 16, 2024, 9 days before her 104th birthday.
She was born in Malahide Township on March 25, 1920, the only child of Fred and Hazel (Caron) Haggan. Predeceased by her first husband William Donald Watterworth and her second husband Hubert Barclay Wells. Survived by Bill Watterworth and Duncan Watterworth (Barbara), both of St. Thomas and stepson Mike Wells (Mary), of London. Also granddaughter Brooke (Joe) Daly and great grandchildren, Max and Mallory, of St. Thomas. Dear friend of Marilyn Prine of Paris.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Western Ontario in 1943. She enjoyed cooking, playing bridge and travelling. She lived in Aylmer from 1920 to 1965, then Toronto, Paris, and then in London since 1986.
A private family service will be held. Cremation has taken place, with interment of ashes in the Haggan family plot at Aylmer Cemetery.
