Evelyn (Eve) Ireton

Evelyn Olive Ireton, 70, a caring and passionate mother, grandmother and animal lover, passed away on December 26, 2025, at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario. Eve was born on October 18, 1955 to T.J. Cameron Ireton and Olive (Burke) Ireton in Perth, Ontario.
Eve is survived by her children Greg, Mark (Martha), Alyecia, and Celia (Kent), her grandchildren Coral, Cameron, Dixie, Phoenix, Gibson and Olivia and her great granddaughter Stella. Also survived by her mother Olive, sisters Helene and Susan (Tim), and several nieces and nephews. Eve will also be missed by her dog Athena.
Eve attended Drummond Centre Public Elementary School No. 13 and then Perth & District Collegiate Institute. She continued her education at University of Guelph, graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science.
Over her life she continued to pursue many interests and developed skills, some through Fanshawe College and Durham College including web design and computer programing. She was a skilled bookkeeper and tax preparer, and will be missed by her colleagues at Wales & Co. Accounting & Taxes.
Eve loved being outdoors walking her dogs and working in her gardens. She shared her passion for reading, music and learning new things with everyone she met. Eve enjoyed volunteering with the 1st Aylmer Scout Group for many years. Eve’s warm spirit was well known for creating community wherever she went. She was always ready to feed any visitors including unexpected guests. Her love of baking was enjoyed by many, especially her pumpkin pies!
Family and friends paid their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The service was held in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Reception Centre.
