Evelyn Rose Henderson

Henderson, Evelyn Rose Marie of St. Thomas and formerly of Aylmer passed away at London Health Science Centre- Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. She was 83 years old. Beloved wife of Gerry Henderson. Loving mother of Derek Poulton(Shiana), Charlene Hansen(Paul) and Brian Henderson. Grandmother of Ashlee(Dan), Matthew(Kirsten), Gregory, Chad(Sydney), Mitchel, Logan, Jaxen, Kaiden and Rylan. Great-grandmother of Stella, William, Ryder and Wesley. Sister of Murial Brandow. She will be missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Alice Smith, Tinis Gibbons, Eva McFadden, Edna Elvidge, Mae Babcock and brothers Lyndon Gibbons, Lloyd Gibbons, Ben Gibbons and Ken Gibbons. Born in Springfield, Ontario on April 8, 1942, daughter of the late Edward and Alma(Light) Gibbons. Evelyn had a joyful spirit that made life a little brighter for everyone around her. She loved strumming her ukulele and enjoyed teaching line dancing and tai chi at the St. Thomas Seniors’ Centre, where she made many friends. Evelyn also had a creative side and loved being on stage, performing in plays at the Princess Ave Theatre. Most of all, she was a faithful follower of Christ, living her life with warmth, kindness, and a generous heart. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday from 5-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation-burial, Light Cemetery.
