Grace Dempsey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Grace Katherine Dempsey beloved wife, grandmother and devoted cat lover who left us peacefully after a long hard battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 in her 79th year.

Born on November 26, 1946 in Kolhopur, India. Grace lived a life full of quiet strength, kindness and deep devotion to the people and animals she loved most. She was a proud and nurturing presence in the lives of her granddaughters, affectionately known simply as “her girls.” She cherished every moment with them, offering wisdom, laughter and unconditional love.

Her home was always warm, her door always open and her lap often occupied by one of her beloved cats. She had a soft spot for stray animals, always believing there was room for “just one more” to love. Her compassion extended far beyond her family and pets, touching the lives of friends, neighbours and anyone lucky enough to know her.

Grace will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her gentle spirit, her fierce loyalty to her family and the way her eyes lit up whenever a cat curled up beside her or one of “her girls” walked into the room.

She is survived by her husband Ron Dempsey of 40 years. Her sister Judy, her sister-in-law Darlene and brother-in-law Wayne. Predeceased by her sister Christine, mother Julia and sister-in-law Lynn. Forever and always will be deeply cherished by her granddaughters Taylor Busch, Kaitlyn and Stacey Pond who brought her so much joy.
