Joyce Laur

Laur, Joyce of Aylmer passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 1, 2022 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Grant Laur(2019). Dear mother of Gary Laur(Joan), Jim Laur(Ann), Rosemary Ball(Bill), Gwenda McConnell(Todd), Randy Laur(Heidi), Jackie Muller(Pete), and Rob Laur(Lisa).  Loving grandmother of Angela(Mike), Jeff(Talya), Jodi(Matt), Trevor(Laura), Brent(Tovah), Dennis, Natalie(Evan), Sam(Jamie), Sabrina, Stephanie(Brent), Bobby(Brittany), Jamie Lynn(Wally), Leslie(Anthony), Nicole, Katy, Bud(Kendall), Cory(Lindsay), Hilary, Tony, Krissy, Renee and Josee. Also survived by 30 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joyce leaves behind her siblings, Verna Jeanne McIntyre(late Bruce), Mildred Parkin(Fred) and Bill Ratcliffe(Judy), siblings-in-law Larry Laur, Ann Laur, Bruce Barham, Marilyn, and Bob Gillies. Predeceased by her sister Helen Siple(Raymond), brothers-in-law Fred and Ralph Laur, sisters-in-law Myrna Barham and Betty Laur, and great-grandsons Emmett and JoJo.  Born in Woodstock, Ontario on June 17, 1938, daughter of the late Roger “Stanley” Ratcliffe and Janette Mary (Bond) Ratcliffe. Joyce was a homemaker, mother, and great contributor to the daily operations of the family farm. She was a member of St. John’s United Church, Springfield, a volunteer at the tuck shop at Terrace Lodge, and a nurse aid at the Aylmer Nursing Home. Joyce was a member of the After Breast Cancer Group. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8pm where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11:00 am. Interment, Springfield Cemetery. The family would like to thank the ICU department at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital for the outstanding care that they showed Joyce through this difficult time.
