Katherine Jane (nee Bachner) Moodie

MOODIE, Katherine Jane (née Bachner) of RR#3 Shedden, passed into the arms of our Lord and Saviour on March 27, 2018, in her 61st year. Beloved wife of Jay. Loving mother of Jessica and Joshua. Dear daughter-in-law of Joyce Moodie and the late John R. “Jack” Moodie. Jane taught for the Elgin County Board of Education and the Thames Valley District School Board for almost 30 years, retiring at the end of 2010. Jane enjoyed working in her gardens, traveling and spending time with her friends, family and former colleagues. Jane was born in Kitchener on May 23, 1957, daughter of Katie (Nikolaus) and the late Michael “Mike” Bachner. Sister of Michael (Cathy) and Stephen (Noelle). Aunt of Nicholas, Michael, Arden (Nevin) and Codie and great-aunt of Remy. Jane’s family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the caring and dedicated staff at the LRCP, STEGH, Care Partners and Closing the Gap for their ongoing support throughout her illness.

In keeping with Jane’s wishes cremation has taken place. No public visitation or funeral services will be held. Donations may be made to Serenity House Hospice in her memory. Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, St. Thomas entrusted with arrangements.
