Katherine Nezezon
NEZEZON, Katherine (July 3, 1949 – June 11, 2022) –
Passed away, peacefully, at the V.O.N. – Sakura House Woodstock after a struggle with terminal illness, on Saturday, June 11th, 2022, (Kathy) Katherine (Barat) Nezezon, a longtime resident of Vienna, at the age of 72. Born in Harsany, Borsod, Hungary daughter of the late Ernest (Erno) Barat and the late Elizabeth (Dudas) Barat. Predeceased by her much-loved husband of 37 years John Nezezon (October 10th, 2010). Much-loved mother and mother-in-law of: Kristine (Jeff Preszcator), and John (Danielle) Nezezon, all of Vienna. Proud and loving grandmother of: Kaitlyn, Ainsley and Brooke Preszcator; and Hendrick Nezezon. Survived by a brother Shawn (Linda) Barat of Tillsonburg and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kathy was an active member in the St. Mary’s Church community. She was very dedicated to her family and friends. Kathy had a passion for sewing and gardening but her grandkids were her biggest interest and concern. Kathy was a dedicated volunteer at the V.O.N. – Sakura House for several years and she worked at Imperial Tobacco, Aylmer for many years.
The Nezezon family members would like to express sincere thanks to the caring medical staff and nursing staff at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, London (LHSC) Regional Cancer Centre, CarePartners and the VON – Sakura House, Woodstock, all of them helped, supported and comforted mom during her journey to New Life.
Friends, neighbours and relatives are invited to offer support for the family by attending a Public Complete Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 51 Venison Street West, Tillsonburg by Rev. Father Tony Del Ciancio on Thursday, June 16th, 2022, at 10:00 am. Private interment to follow at the Straffordville Cemetery.
