Marjorie Hanson

Marjorie Hanson

Your Hug Meant the World
Nobody else held me so tight
Or made me feel so right
No one’s eyes shined so bright with love
As my mom, who is now high above.

It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye to our beloved mother, Marjorie Olive Louise
Hanson (nee Beattie), who passed away in the early hours of January 20, 2023 while in the
wonderful care of those at VON Sakura House Hospice, Woodstock. Mom battled breast
cancer, but it never stopped her from giving out the best hugs. She is survived by her children
Cindy, Barb, Joe, Betty, Aggie and Ralph (Butch) as well as brothers, Bob, David, Duke, Bill
and sisters Marilyn and Jean. Marjorie will also leave behind grandchildren William,
Jennifer, Jamie, Tera, Corey, Joey, Collin, Christian, Crystal and Kristen, as well as 18 great-
grandchildren. Marjorie was predeceased by her brothers Ronald and John, sister Jenny and
parents Nettie Bell (Earhart) and Joseph Beattie. Marjorie was born in Strathroy,
Ontario on August 30, 1936. Marjorie loved to cook and take care of her family and has
always been someone you could go to when you needed to talk. Mom you were the glue that
held our family together. You will be missed by your family and those whose heart you have
touched.
